Who Are We

The Green Watch is an investigative global magazine with focus on issues linked with environment and climate change. Headquartered in Islamabad, the recently launched multimedia magazine, is committed to promote environmental friendly sustainable energy projects and investigate into climate change related issues in developing countries such as Pakistan where virtually every next year, one third to half of 230 million populated country comes under flood in summer. The rising air pollution, smog and fog now adversely disrupt normal cycle of life for months in major urban centers in winter in Pakistan. The situation is not very different elsewhere in the regional countries. The need to launch a specialized online magazine is to keep a tag on climate change related issues and spread awareness among public on how sustainable energy projects, is the key to a better future.

The magazine is an offshoot of The Digital Dispatch, a Pakistani media company, headed by Islamabad based senior journalist Javed Rana. The multimedia company is formally listed with Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan with all legal formalities. The Magazine under the fold of the company reports investigative stories, carries out in-depth analysis on whole range of critical issues linked with climate change and growing environmental challenges. Javed was twice honoured with Green Journalist Award by government of Pakistan.

Javed is prolific writer, columnist, investigative journalist, a script writer, has produced, reported thousands of live events, news packages, numerous short and long documentaries, hosted talk shows and conducted interviews with high profile leaders on major events of political and strategic significance. His documentary “Return of the Taliban” won New York Festival Tv & Film Awards 2022 Bronze in the International Category. It is one of the most prestigious and toughest competitions in the world.

His in-depth reporting and analyses of political, economic and geo-strategic issues attracted international newspapers such as Los Angles Times, Khaleej Times, Arab News & many global Television news networks like Aljazeera (2003-2007) over the course of two decades.
